Framnäs Folklore Ensemble

Framnäs Folklore Ensemble consists of students from Framnäs Folk High School's music programme and from the College of Music. They play their own versions of swinging folk music from Bulgaria, Macadonia, and Turkey, infused with a rock sensibility. If you liked the music from the films ”Svart katt, vit katt”, ”Underground” and ”Zigenarnas tid", you'll love this. They have been to the Balkans, played many times and won the hearts of their audiences. This summer they plan to take part in a folk music festival in Macedonia.

This year the ensemble consist of 16 girls and guys (plus one perplexed leader) and they will all do everything to keep the people in the audience moving, in many ways...
